Live with Intention
This is an easy one to accomplish. All it takes is to spend a few minutes first thing in the morning (or last thing before going to bed) thinking about what you want to accomplish this day. I don't mean a detailed to-do list for the day -- I mean some general goals. This may be as simple as choosing one of the 12 Ways to Extraordinary to focus on. Here are some examples:
- Maybe you've been allowing yourself to get pulled in too many different directions lately. So today you want to really focus on an important project and not allow yourself to be distracted.
- You've been avoiding a couple of difficult tasks, so today you commit to spend just 15 minutes getting started on each of those things.
- If you've noticed that you've been feeling a bit lonely, your goal today could be to reach out to two friends. Same thing if you've been feeling like you haven't been a good friend lately.
- Perhaps you just need to remind yourself what your purpose in life is, so that it can provide a guide throughout your day.
