Modern-day stressors can make your body react like everything is a fight-or-flight, life-or-death emergency. And you’ve seen the reports — more and more research proves this kind of overreaction to stress can be very harmful to your physical and mental health. You can get start to get relief from anxiety within 20 minutes of stepping into my office. I’ll give you quick ways to interrupt the anxiety pattern. And then I’ll help you practice more in-depth processes to stop anxiety from happening in the first place. You can learn to reprogram the responses to things that trigger the anxiety response in you. Neutralize those triggers.
The latest research also shows that practicing mindfulness meditation can train you to have more measured responses to your daily stress. Respond, rather than overreact. Manage your response to stressful things. Get a little bit of distance from your thoughts, so you can see them for what they are. Just thoughts. Just feelings. Instead of reacting automatically, you can learn to pause first, and that pause gives you the time you need to decide how you want to respond to stressful thoughts and situations, to strong emotions. You can learn to stop spinning around on that hamster wheel, and move more joyfully and productively towards your goals. And live a longer, healthier life.
This doesn’t require you to burn incense or sit cross-legged on the floor. Mindfulness meditation is backed by scientific research, and you don’t need to be religious to learn it or reap its many benefits.
Mindfulness meditation and hypnosis have proven to be highly effective at reducing stress. You can learn simple meditation and self-hypnosis techniques, which, when practiced daily, will enable you to respond with the appropriate level of adrenalin called for throughout your day.

Insomnia:
The first step in tackling sleep difficulties is to rule out medical or environmental causes of sleeplessness (such as sleep apnea, or too much noise in the room). If these causes have been ruled out, then other issues can be explored. Are you unable to turn your mind off at night, tossing and turning and going over your extensive to-do list for the next day? Do you feel too stressed out and anxious to sleep? Do you wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety? Do you just wake up feeling restless?
With hypnosis you can check for any emotional reasons that may prevent you from enjoying a good night’s sleep. Further hypnosis and NLP work can help you resolve those issues. Sometimes the solution simply involves learning a few, easy mental exercises and self-hypnosis techniques to help you quiet your mind and your emotions.
Pain:
Your mind and your body are connected, and you can use your mind to control your perception of pain. You can use hypnosis and meditation to bring about a relaxed, altered state of awareness. When you’re in this state you are able to use your mind more powerfully, and train yourself to “dial down” the pain level at will.
As a cancer survivor myself I’m aware of the tremendous stress illness brings into your life. Stress makes the pain even worse. You can learn to be in control of your reaction to stress.
Stuck:
Are there changes you know you should make in your life, but you can’t bring yourself to take the first steps? Perhaps you need to get out of your unfulfilling job, or relationship. Maybe you’re unhappy in your current situation but have no idea what else you should be doing. These kinds of problems usually originate in fear, and fear tends to limit our ability to see all the choices that are actually available to us. There are usually many different solutions to a problem, and using hypnotic and NLP techniques can resolve fears and give you access to the highly creative parts of your subconscious mind. In just a few sessions you’ll gain confidence and strength and insight about the right way to move forward.
